As of last Saturday, I'm at 37 weeks! The hospital bag is packed, the car seat is ready to go, all we need is the baby :) We're very excited as we anticipate the arrival of our little girl!!
I'm still feeling pretty good and sleeping quite well. She's running out of room so it's starting to get uncomfortable, but overall we are doing great.
A friend told me yesterday, "Prepare for her to come early, expect for her to come late, and hope she'll come on time." I guess that describes well our life right now :)

After you get married you go on a  honeymoon. Apparently it's called a baby moon when you take a trip BEFORE the baby is born.  A few weekends ago we went to Spring Hill camp and enjoyed our last trip without a baby!! We got to stay in the guest house. It was WONDERFUL!!! We enjoyed sitting by the fire, reading, going on a walk, playing lots of games, writing in the baby book, spending uninterrupted time with each other, and just hearing SILENCE!!! It was great to be out in the woods on the lake-- as we don't get much of that in Illinois. :)

Our due date is a month from tomorrow!! It probably won't surprise you to know that everything is "ready" :) This week I finished up her baby room, washed some clothes/blankets/towels/etc and steamed her bottles and got them all ready to go :) Now I can just sit and look at everything as we anticipate her arrival

I'm so grateful to my dear friends Angie, Erin and Jen  who hosted a shower for us here in Champaign. It was a very special time to celebrate with our TCBC church family and a great reminder of how the Lord has been so faithful to provide us with friends here in Illinois. I never thought we would feel as "at home" here in Champaign as we do. Here are a few pictures :)

1) The beautiful decorations
2) Decorating cupcakes (how fun!)
3) The adorable cupcakes:)
4) A handmade dress for our dear daughter. It's a treasure! (Note: Rachel's face!:)

Last weekend we went to Platteville for my baby shower. What a special weekend we had! It was hosted by my mom and my sister. They did an AWESOME job!! The decorations were great, the food was delicious, the game was all new to me. Everything about it was wonderful!

It was amazing to see how many family and friends made the trip to celebrate with us! It was also incredible to see how God is providing for our daughter through others' generosity! She is one loved little girl, and she isn't even born yet! :)

THANK YOU to everyone who made the effort to be there and celebrate with me (us!) And thank you Mom and Laura for all of the work you put in to pull it off!!!

Here are some pictures.... (These will also count as my 32 week pictures!) As of tomorrow.. I'll be at 33 weeks!

I've been wanting to wait to post this until I got it hung
up on the wall, but that might be awhile.... So here it is.

My latest craft project! Thanks to my sister for the idea and her and my mom's help in picking out fabric and getting started.

I love crafty things but usually don't go beyond paper, markers, and stickers. So it felt good to do something that is more lasting. I'm really pleased with how it turned out :) It's kind of hard to see in the picture, so I guess you'll just have to come visit and see it for yourself :)

For Valentines Day this year, Noah and I decided to do something more low key-- make dinner together!! It was really fun (not to mention, DELICIOUS!)!!

Broiled salmon with a homemade sweet and sour sauce, rice, steamed asparagus, and bread with dipping spices and oil. Oh yeah, and sparkling grape juice :) With mousse and mint chocolate cookies for dessert.

It was really fun to take our time and ENJOY the process of preparing (as well as eating!) a delicious meal together!

Noah had lots of little surprises throughout the day, not too mention one really AWESOME gift! (After telling me a few weeks ago that we weren't going to exchange gifts this year).

This awesome picture is now hanging up in our bedroom!! It is the same picture that was used for our Christmas picture last year. I'm so thankful for Noah's great idea and  for our amazing friends Matthew & Jen who made it reality! (Matthew actually made this-- printed the pictures and attached each frame to foam board! while Jen had me over Sunday afternoon so the guys could hang it up on the wall and surprise me!)

Isn't it awesome??

Happy Valentines Day love Noah, myself and our baby girl! She has been kicking so much more the past few days and it is SO fun! Makes us both all the more excited for her to be here!!!

Noah realized this morning that as of this coming Saturday I will be at 30 weeks. That may have made him a tiny bit nervous, but overall we are very excited!! We had a doctor appointment last week and will now start to have appointments every two weeks (instead of every four.) I passed my glucose test in case you were wondering, YEAH!

Noah is actually taking a baby class Wednesday night (our first!). It is "For Dads Only." He will get some practice caring for a little one (using a doll!) We've heard it's the baby class with the best snacks?! ha! Makes sense  since it will be all guys. Hope he has a good time and learns a lot!

We got a crib and a changing table and so now our baby room looks like a baby room!!! I'm working on some crafty things to put on the walls so the walls aren't decorated yet, but thought I'd show you some pictures of the room as is :)

I'm so thankful to be feeling good! I'm noticing that I am a bit more tired than I have been the past few weeks, and my appetite is finally picking up. I have some significant back pain, but other than that I'm feeling great. I'm sleeping very well (I wake up a lot to go to the bathroom but thankfully can fall asleep very quickly!!) I told someone the other day that I think getting up in the middle of the night interrupts Noah's sleep more than it does mine. :/

29 Weeks :)

We had our ultrasound on Thursday and found out that not only does our baby look completely healthy, but that we are having a GIRL!!

For some reason, we have thought all along that it was a boy (people ask why we think this and I don't really have a good answer... we just always thought we would have a boy first). So we were a little surprised, and very excited to see our baby girl!!

I told my family that she's a girl, but she must not be a Rogers girl as she was shy- covering her face not wanting to get her picture taken. :)

It all is becoming a little more real with this exciting news!

This is supposed to be her face... notice her two fingers in the top left corner as she is covering her face :)

I haven't done a great job of keeping up with pictures, but here is another one. The funny thing is, I was wearing this same sweater (in a different color) last time I posted a picture of myself. OOPS!

According to thebump.com the baby is 6.0 inches and 8.5 ounces.

Oh, and did you know the baby is the size of a mango this week? :)

We have our ultrasound this week-- what are your guesses? Are we having a boy or a girl????

Cast your vote :)
