I ran Cross Country in High School. We had two mottos: Run 4 Fun (which we always said with a smirk), and Run 2 Get Done! For those of you who have run races of any significant distance, you know the amazing feeling comes when the race is over and the pain subsides.
For a long time, Katie and I have been marathoning toward the end of our time in Eau Claire. The end is drawing near! We have both sadness and gladness in our hearts as we enter our last week here.
But another reality has been dawning on us. This "Finish Line" we've been looking to for so long, actually doubles as a new Starting Line for us! A new season of life and ministry is upon us, and with it, new challenges, opportunities, joys, and fears.
Our stomachs churn a bit at this thought, but our hearts also beat a bit faster with excitement. We're thankful to have a loving Heavenly Father leading us on our path as we seek to follow Him. We'd appreciate your continued prayers as we enter this stressful couple weeks of moving!
