I titled this Narnia for two reasons:
1) My dad read The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe to me when I was a child, but anyone who knows me well understand that I don't remember ANY of it! Noah got The Chronicles of Narnia series for Christmas and read all of them in about a month. He enjoyed them so much that we are now reading them together. We are only in the 2nd book, but I am enjoying it more than I thought I would.
2) When we got back from Spring Hill last week, I felt like we were coming back from Narnia. We pulled into town and I saw a bunch of kids walking to the park with some college students. My first thought was, "I wonder what school these kids are from?!" My second thought was, "Oh yeah, it's summer. This is not a school trip, this is a day-care group." Somehow while we were away focused on training 30 students to walk with God, enjoying nature, and fasting from technology, a month of time just slipped away. It's like we were in Narnia, but while we were gone, time didn't stop back in Champaign :)
As Noah already posted, we love, love LOVED Spring Hill!! We were so blessed to spend the month training students to walk with HIM and serve the camp.
It's good to be home, as always. We have settled in and gotten back into "normal life" (cooking our own food, using technology, not being outside so much, seeing people, etc.)
Hope all of your summers are off to a great start!
