Spring Hill = success!

We're back! Thank you for praying! Spring Hill 2010 was a resounding success. God blessed us with a great staff team and tremendous group of students. We saw students' lives transformed as they spent time in fellowship and studying God's Word. Students came away with a new understanding of the Gospel and a greater urgency to share it with their friends. Some students even came to faith in Jesus as we shared the Gospel at Indiana University. We both got to share the Gospel with Chinese exchange students who had never heard it before. The girl that Katie shared the gospel with placed her faith in Christ! Katie was able to give her a Bible and show her a few places to start reading it. It was an exciting day! Katie and I continued to learn more about our giftings in life and ministry. God is continuing to grow our heart for college students and convincing us all the more of the strategic nature of our ministry. Some (hopefully many) of these students at Spring Hill are going to change the world for Christ! | Above is a montage of the program I put together for the final banquet. Most of the footage is from our fun events on the weekends. Oddly enough, footage from Bible Study doesn't make a great video ;)

"So what does your summer look like?"

Many of you have wondered what the upcoming summer will look like for us. Our summer will involve some different things, with the biggest of them coming up very soon. From May 11th-June 8th, we'll be staffing the Spring Hill STP (Summer Training Program). In Navigator Collegiate ministries across the world staff and students are praying and working towards developing people into laborers in the Kingdom of God. This program is one of the ways we are seeking to do this. During this program we want to maximize these three weeks into a time of life changing development for the 32 students who are attending. We look at this summer training program as a “Greenhouse for Growth.” Away from the distractions of studying, tests, papers, social clubs, and things like Facebook, these students are able to focus on their walk with Christ and grow a ton in a short time! | 1 Timothy 4:7 says “train yourself in godliness” During this program we will focus on teaching students how to:
- effectively share their faith - be transformed by community - feed themselves from the Word - pray effectively - have a life committed to God’s Glory Please pray for wisdom as we staff this program and for God to transform the students who are coming (as well as ourselves). |
