We're here!
As of March 31st, we're residents of Champaign! Thanks for your prayers and interest in us through our move. We're excited for this new stage in our life and ministry!
Champaign, Here we Come!
Our move is just around the corner. It isn't getting any easier to leave Eau Claire, but we are VERY ready to move to Champaign! We load the truck a week from Sunday and we will hopefully be settled in soon after that! Thank you for all of your prayers and support in the last few months. Thanks especially to all of you who have hosted us and met with us in the last few weeks! We have enjoyed seeing all of you! It has been a long few months planning, fundraising, traveling, and preparing for our move, but it has been a great blessing as well. We are as ready as we'll ever be to settle down and start putting down some roots in Champaign!

Visit time! Tomorrow, we're headed to Champaign for a few days. We'll be looking at places to live, spending time with the staff, getting to know the city, meeting the students, and Noah will be speaking at NavNite. We're excited to spend some time in the place we'll soon be calling home.

We're done with our full-time work at UWEC! It's hard to believe! We're so thankful for our time here but now are beginning to look ahead. See below for a calendar of the next few months for us. We'll spend the next few months on some various projects, connecting with a few students, and raising additional support as we anticipate our move.

Our time at UWEC is winding down! We're doing the best to enjoy and make the most of our time with the UWEC students and staff. God's blessed us with a wonderful Fall Semester here. We're so thankful for it.
We're beginning to look ahead to our transition a bit. I've been keeping my eye on the internet for different places for us to live.
Our current timeline for the upcoming months:
November-December: We'll be finishing up the semester on campus as Katie continues to student teach. Katie graduates December 20th and we'll be spending Christmas with our families.
January: Katie will be student teaching through ~January 23. Noah will begin to arrange for funding visits. We'll be taking a 4-5 day trip to Champaign in late January or early February to scout out places to live, meet the students, and get a bit accustomed to the area and campus.
February-March: Katie and I will focus our time on raising additional support and preparing to move. Our progress in this will affect our moving date.
Prayer Requests:
Please pray:
a) that God would provide us with funding appointments with many people this January-March
b) that God would provide a house or apartment to rent (more specifics coming soon) when we move

Katie and I have some exciting news about an upcoming transition in our lives! We have recently completed the EDGE Corps staff program, and The Navigators has asked us to continue ministering with them in the role of Staff-in-Training (SiT) for the next three years. During this time we will continue to receive training from veteran staff in evangelism, discipleship (mentoring and training), and many other aspects of leading a Navigator campus ministry. We'll also be working through a Bible Study curriculum design to stimulate additional vision and growth in our lives.
So what about the "Orange"? We have been invited to do the bulk of this SiT in Champaign, Illinois at the University of Illinois campus! We will receive training from veteran staff Norman and Katie Hubbard, former UWEC staff who we've respected as friends and mentors.
Q: When will you move to Champaign?
Katie will be graduating from UWEC in December and finishing her student teaching in January- so it will not be before then. After that we are unsure of an exact date. It will mostly depend on the status of our support budget. The sooner we have the support we need, the sooner we will be able to transition to our new campus.
Q: What about UWEC?
Noah is planning to be continuing with The Navigators full-time at UWEC this fall. Katie will be doing her student teaching semester at an elementary school in the Eau Claire area and will help on campus as she is able. It will be very difficult for us to leave the staff and students at UWEC, and we are thankful to have one more semester to continue in the work there.
Q: How do you feel about the change?
Overall, we are very excited. It will be quite the change for us. We will be a greater distance from home. The ministry at the U of I is in its very beginning stages. This will present new challenges that we haven't faced at UWEC. But we believe this experience will equip us very well as we someday will start or lead a campus ministry of our own.
