Below is an entry from my prayer list last July.
Katie and I have been asking the Lord to provide us with a three bedroom house to rent upon our move to Illinois. We strongly desire our home to comfortably host many students and other visitors in the coming years. Exactly six months later, I was able to write in the "answered prayer" column: (below)
God answered our prayers with a YES! On April 1st, we will be moving into a house that is exactly what we were praying for. . .and more! We are just blocks from campus, and our landlord is a wonderful woman whom we are excited to get to know. This answered prayer was a wonderful confirmation of God's direction in our lives.
So April 1st it is! We're excited (and a bit nervous) to get settled in our home. God's reminded us constantly that He's with us.
Since returning from Champaign, we've been in Platteville meeting current and potential supporters. We've enjoyed spending time with the Rogers, and as always, they've been a wonderful blessing to us. We'll be heading back to Eau Claire on Friday and are excited to be in our own "home-sweet-apartment" again.
Thank you so much your continued prayers. In the last couple weeks, Katie and I have been often reminded of our need to continually trust the Lord for patience, wisdom, and His provision. Your prayers are a great blessing to us- and God is answering them!
