According to thebump.com the baby is 6.0 inches and 8.5 ounces.
We have our ultrasound this week-- what are your guesses? Are we having a boy or a girl????
Cast your vote :)
I haven't done a great job of keeping up with pictures, but here is another one. The funny thing is, I was wearing this same sweater (in a different color) last time I posted a picture of myself. OOPS! According to thebump.com the baby is 6.0 inches and 8.5 ounces. Oh, and did you know the baby is the size of a mango this week? :)

We were fortunate to spend Thanksgiving in WI! We got a few days with my parents in Platteville and the rest of the week in Rice Lake with Noah's family. Highlights included a quick stop at UW-Eau Claire (and Acoustic cafe!!), seeing both Noah's brother AND sister (and their houses), getting 3 inches of snow!! :), eating delicious food, playing cards, watching the Badgers win (!) and just a great time with family! Lunch at acoustic= AMAZING!! Beer cheese soup and hoagies. YUMMMM!! SNOW!! Compared to the downpour of rain we are getting tonight in Champaign, snow was awesome!! The view from our room at Noah's parents house. Amazing, isn't it??? Snow covered lake glimmering in the sun!! It was hunting season while we were there. Just thought all of you would enjoy a taste of the Northwoods! I should have taken pictures of all of the "good luck hunters" signs and the blaze orange apparel at EVERY store. Or the bin at the gas station labeled, "Deer Hides."
I feel very caught between seasons right now. This last week it was in the 70's for a few days and VERY beautiful! In fact on Friday we played ultimate frisbee wearing t-shirts and shorts. Unbelievable. But then we went to the store and bought Christmas lights tonight... and have heard lots about the 8+ inches of snow that many of our friends got over the weekend. I am really anxious to get into the Christmas spirit, but I've told myself I can't think Christmas until all of our leaves our raked. {For those of you who follow our blog, you may remember from last year that this is an insanely huge task! Last weekend we had 8 students over to help rake. They worked really hard (close to 60 leaf bags full) but unfortunately by Monday morning, the yard was covered again! It looks like we have one more big round of raking left.} I guess that is okay I mean it is still fall, right? At least according to the calendar :) Just a few leaf pictures :)
I have been hesitant to post anything to the online world about pregnancy, but I figured it is about time. :) Thanks to all of you who have asked how I am doing and how I am feeling. To answer your question- I am doing well! The month of September was rough... but thankfully we are past that. I am still wearing all of my normal clothes (super thankful for that!) although I know it won't last much longer. My mom was kind enough to buy me some very nice maternity clothes as an early birthday gift so I have the start of a new wardrobe. My nose and throat have been the most bothersome throughout pregnancy. I have a very strong gag reflex and brushing my teeth is not a pleasant experience. My sense of smell is very acute and I find it kind of funny but two things just had to go-- the Caramel Apple soap I bought from Bath and Body Works and my own perfume--- the scent of each of them was making me sick! Kind of weird what happens when you are pregnant I guess. Other than that I am doing well. In case you are wondering, YES we are going to find out if it is a boy or a girl. Oh, and I think I *might* have felt the first kick this week. It was subtle, but pretty awesome. :) 17 Weeks :) We really needed this weekend. We think it was the first of the semester where we were truly able to unwind. To us this meant no traveling, no hosting people for dinner or overnight, and even a night (Saturday) with no plans!! Oh and did I mention, a great Sunday afternoon nap:) We love people, we love hosting and we love traveling, but this weekend was much needed! We are thankful for this weekend especially as we look ahead to the week... Please be praying for us this week as we have lots of "extra things"... staff training on Tuesday, Noah is speaking at Navs Thursday night, regional meetings in Indiana on Saturday and speaking at a church in Wisconsin on Sunday morning. WHEW! But we are just so thankful for this weekend. Noah took a picture to show some of the highlights of his weekend. Saturday afternoon: Nachos, football and a beer. |
