Hey friends, Here's a quick peek into our Fall Conference this past weekend! What do you get when you create a mass game for 250 people? Chaos. But very fun chaos! Check it out. (the video works now!)

Here are the cupcakes Noah brought to his guys Bible Study last week. We were hoping they would pick up on the subtle hint, but they are college guys and ate them without thinking.
Noah posed the question, "Pink or Blue?" All of a sudden, they caught on. Yes, that is right. We wanted to let you all know that we are having a BABY!! We are due April 25th. (I will be 14 weeks on Saturday). We are very excited about this new adventure and what the Lord has in store. We look forward to keeping you posted!! Until then, Much love from Noah, Katie and Baby Haas :) I can't believe it has been nearly a month since we have updated the blog. I thought I was doing a good job of keeping up on it..... oops!! October has been a busy month, what can I say? A few weekends ago we had a friend, Katya, visit. Noah and I met her when we were in Russia in 2007. She is in the US working in Dayton, Ohio. We hadn't seen her in over 3 years and were very blessed by our time with her! We gave her all sorts of "American" experiences... pumpkin patch/apple orchard, baking apple treats, Illini Volleyball game, church, church harvest party, and her first grilled cheese sandwich :) All of that in less than 2 days! I guess that truly does sum up the American Life :) Next came our first camping experience in Illinois. Camping in October? I know, right? It was beautiful weather- 80's during the day and 40's at night. We are so glad we took the time to do this :) Our friends Caleb and Angie even joined us for one night. The campsite in Illinois... just aren't quite the same as those in Wisconsin. Fewer trees, a camp grill thing instead of a fire circle, and "ponds" not lakes. But we really did enjoy ourselves:) Excited about our walking tacos for lunch. Caleb and Angie had never heard of these. Is this a WI thing??? Weekend #3 we went to Platteville to see my family. We hadn't been there since JUNE!! My sister and my niece flew in from Colorado and my brother was up from Chicago. A great time was had by all. Believe it or not we took LOTS Of pictures, especially of Ms. Claire, but VERY few of them are on our camera. Here is one of our precious niece. Laura, Matt, Noah and I did a corn maze. It was my first time. Very challenging, but fun. By the end we were a bit bewildered- we just could not find the 7th letter! Believe it or not, between these busy weekends, we are spending lots of time on campus and seeing God work in the hearts of our students. This semester is going by so quickly, but we are so thankful for the ministry the Lord has given to us here. We don't often take pictures (except during fun events). But we have countless stories to tell of the ways God is working. Thank you for your prayers and support! We had a girls "fun" night last week. Instead of doing our usual Bible Study we took a break to paint pumpkins, carve pumpkins and decorate cookies. A great time was had by all :) |
