We were blessed to have lunch with a couple who has been involved with The Navigators here at U of I for many years! They were involved as students and have stayed committed to The Navs and the U of I campus ever since!
It was really encouraging to hear the story of The Navs here over the years. It is hard to believe that the group used to be over 1,000 people with 5 different Nav ministries on campus! That sure isn't how the group looks now (at least in size) but God is the same yesterday, today and forever! We aren't concerned about numbers, but we are concerned about reaching the lost. We are focused on helping students live their lives for the Lord and advancing the gospel to their classmates, roommates, family and friends. We are eager to see what God has in store! We don't know how He will work, but we know He will! Bless the LORD, O my soul,
and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. -- Psalm 103:1-5 This is what I was blessed to read in my devotions this morning. I was reminded of all God does for us, and how truly thankful I am to Him for it. Verse 2 reminds me to "forget not all his benefits." So rarely do I actually stop and remember what He's done for me. As I've gone through my day, I've tried my best to be mindful of "all his benefits".
as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our trangressions from us. Thank you Lord! -noah |
