Ellie LOVES to clean! I'm not sure if it's being a first-born, or just her personality, or the fact that she's learning from me ;) but she LOVES to clean!! My dear friend Dana has always called Ellie the "cleanest baby on the planet" because she is one of those babies who NEVER spit up, almost never hard crazy diapers, and just was always very clean. She recently suggested I call her "Cinder-Ellie" :) Perfect! Here are a few stories.

-Yesterday she pointed to my end table and said, "Mama, mess" and then got a kleenex to go wipe it off.
-Whenever she lays her baby doll down she lays a burp cloth under her head and said "burp cloth, spit up"
-If she's having a snack or coloring or something and sees me cleaning she gets SO upset because I'm doing it without her!
-She gets the swiffer and/or dustbuster out all of the time to help.
-Before she climbs into her highchair she says "mess" and wipes all of the crumbs out of it.
-If there's a crumb or piece of paper or scrap on the floor, it's "uh oh, mess, mama" as Ellie picks it up and goes to throw it in the garbage.
-If the laundry is hanging over the edge of the hamper and not all the way in, she very naturally puts it into the hamper as she walks by.
-Noah walked in and put the keys on the table one day- and Ellie said "Daddy, keys, kitchen" (The keys go on the keyhook in the kitchen, DUH Daddy!)

I'm sure there are a million more stories, but it cracks me up! She is a sweet big sister and a real blessing as Josie makes her fair share of messes!  Ellie is always bringing me a burp cloth or a bib to help out :) Ellie LOVES baby wipes- and it's hard to ration them as she always wants more. She makes the cutest little face and holds up one finger and says, "one, bipe (wipe)" "please mama"  How can I say no to that?

Oh how I love my sweet little helper, cinder-ellie :)

Um, that is NOT an oldest child thing... because Claire couldn't be more her opposite!!! I wish Ellie lived closer so she could follow Claire around and clean up all her messes!!

This is hilarious. Tyler is exactly the same way! I think it must be a first child thing. :-)
