This obviously has nothing to do with campus ministry- whoever thought I could best sum up our life in a blog post about DIAPERS! And for those of you who know me well, who ever thought I'd post a blog about diapers- not quite my forte! But in the chaos of our life, I was thinking about how to best describe our reality... here it goes.
1) In our house right now we currently have Size 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, night-time diapers, pull- ups, and swim diapers. That's a LOT OF DIAPERS!! All that to say- much of my life I spend changing diapers! The variety of sizes for our girls current (and future needs-- I really should buy size 4 just because I can :)), pull-ups in case I get ambitious one of these days and swim diapers in case we sign up Ellie for swimming lessons (we're considering it). Oh, and night-time diapers because Ellie is such an amazing sleeper and sleeps so long 2) DT on 3 :: This is Noah and my new phrase-- Diaper Time on 3. Then we say "Who do you want? Josie or Ellie?" I guess you could say it's our way of making life fun with 2 in diapers. Honestly, changing diapers is no big deal to me. I don't mind it at all when it's my own kids. But this idea describes our life very well... It really does take two of us to care for E & J and get out of the house successfully :) 3) We currently have a changing table in our dining room and a diaper genie in our bathroom. I guess you could say we are feeling the pinch. We LOVE our house- but the main level isn't that big!!! When people come in and look at our changing table with a weird stare, I have to remember that not everyday do you see a changing table practically touching a dining room table. It's working REALLY well for us right now, but it is kind of strange. Never mind that to accommodate our needs we have a crib in our room, Noah's dresser in the basement, a hamper in our dining room, a rocking chair in our room that blocks Noah from getting to his side of the bed.... it's all a little crazy but it's working quite well for us. Grateful for our beautiful blessings and we're making it work, but I better go, I have two girls who need their diapers changed... and Noah's not here to help.....
