These first few weeks of the semester are some of the most important of the year. Thousands of freshmen will be coming to campus for the first time. Many of them have grown up going to church, yet who they meet the first few weeks of the semester may have huge impacts on the course of their faith and life. Look at the difference in the answers between high school and college students below.
High School College
Does God exist? (yes) 79.0% 49.3%
Does Satan exist? (yes) 70.0% 37.7%

See the difference? We'll be spending much of the next month connecting with as many students as possible, providing opportunities for Christian students to connect with Christian fellowship and urging non-Christian students to investigate Jesus Christ for themselves. Please pray that the Lord would connect us with many!
One other thought: yesterday Katie and I sat down in church next to a young man from Zimbabwe. He is a freshman mechanical engineering major who arrived in the U.S. two days ago. Imagine what a new experience this must be for him! Thankfully, he is a Christian and is trusting God to help him with his transition. I was reminded how God is bringing students from so many nations right here to this very campus. We get to be cross-cultural missionaries in our own city! Please pray that God would use our ministry to affect many nations with the Gospel!
Thanks friends. We'd greatly appreciate your prayers, especially in the coming few weeks!
