I can't believe this- I only took TWO pictures while in Florida. You'll have to take my word for it- it was a fabulous week!! The days were long-- jam-packed with sessions from people I would call "spiritual giants" (people who have spent countless hours getting to know Jesus through his word!) We heard sessions on a wide variety of topics from planning a ministry year, and discipling students to the love of God and generations of laborers. Our minds are packed with the things we have learned and we are hoping and praying to put the things that we learned into practice. It was refreshing to spend time with others who totally understand what our job (and lives) look like! The weather was beautiful -- 70's and sunny. We enjoyed a few hours at the beach (Noah playing ultimate and me talking with people)...Imagine that :) I guess you could say a good time was had by all.
It was nice to be able to drive to Florida in one (long) day! Though, I can honestly say I was excited to get back to the cornfields of Illinois:) There is no place like home.
