The Good, The Bad & The Ugly (ugh!)

The Good:
There are so many good things going on all around us!

1) We have had some beautiful weather here. Our tulip magnolia tree is in full bloom (It only lasts a few days so you have to enjoy it!)

2) Things with Navs are going so well. We have three students in our ministry on the Illini Baseball Team so we had a baseball tailgate this last week and over 50 students came (many of them were friends of our students who we had never met!). I finished up my one-on-ones this last week with the girls I have been meeting with. I still have a few things this week on campus and then after this week I will be done for the semester. Noah will get some days off once the baby arrives and then be able to finish off the semester on campus.

3) This weekend has been low key and we cleaned our house really well yesterday (I must be nesting!) I even got to make homemade pizza and chocolate chunk cookies :) Tonight we are grilling out for like the 6th time this spring already!!

4) For being 39 weeks pregnant, I feel really good. Other than going to the bathroom a lot, I am sleeping so well! I have quite a bit of energy, and am really not that uncomfortable. We have everything ready (including four grandparents in WI with the cars packed for whenever she decides to come). All we need is the baby!

The Bad:
Really, there is nothing bad, it's just the weirdest feeling of my life to be eagerly awaiting a baby, trying to enjoy the every day but never knowing when she may come! It gives me a new understanding of the phrase "Take life one day at a time!) At my dr. appt. last Thursday my doctor made it sound like it could truly be any day now and most likely before Thursday (my next scheduled appt.)

The Ugly:
I guess this goes along with the bad. I can't believe I'm posting this on my blog.... but it's ridiculous. Can you imagine what it would look like if I was 9 months pregnant in the middle of summer? UGH!

Baby Haas, we are ready for you!!! Please come soon!! :)

SO excited for you...and your doctor should have NEVER told you that. Being a planner, I think babies are one of the hardest things...because you CAN'T plan. Can't wait for the call...or text...or e-mail...
