We have launch!

We have launched.  This week marks the third week of class here at the University of Illinois.  Three weeks already?  Yes, already.

One word to describe the Fall Launch:  connections!  We're making as many connections as possible and trusting the Lord to lead to us the students He intends to be involved in our ministry.  He has connected us with many new students, both Christian students and those who are curious about Christ.  Please pray that many of these connections would solidify!

Quad Day 2010 was a success.  The Lord connected us with many students, whom we and our students have been following up with.  (For a picture of what Quad Day looks like, check out this post from last year).

During the Fall Launch, we host several events which provide an opportunity for students to connect with each other and our ministry.  This year, we decided to try something a little different than the traditional pizza party.  Thus, the Exotic Burger Bar was born.  40 students descended upon the Hubbard house, each with a different burger topping.  Eclectic culinary mania ensued!

As we continue to connect with students, we are beginning to settle into the heart of our ministry.  Small groups of students are forming together to dig deep into God's Word.  We are beginning to teach and equip our students for service and mission in God's Kingdom.  Individuals are beginning or continuing to be trained.  And we're praying that God will use us and our students as the Gospel message goes out.
