All of the students at the U of I have the week off for Thanksgiving. We are taking advantage of this time when no one is around on campus and using some of our vacation ti to be in Wisconsin!!
Saturday we left from a staff in training time in Indianapolis and headed up to LaCrosse for the night to see some friends. We then stopped in Eau Claire yesterday for dinner with some friends and a short visit with some Navigator student leaders. It was really special to see a lot of people that we haven't seen since we moved. It is hard to believe it has been 7 months already!
I have to admit I got a weird feeling in my stomach as we drove into Eau Claire last night. I hadn't been there in so long. So much of my life happened while I was there! The good and the bad.
We weren't in town long enough to really look around. I didn't get to relive special times there or revisit special places. But I was reminded and filled with joy for the time I was able to spend there. I miss it a lot!!!!! But I also love life where we are in Champaign too.
That's okay, right???
